How we are going to control this year’s kurinji is a major challenge for the entire people. It is not just the responsibility of the Forest Dept alone, each one of us have equal responsibility to preserve nature’s beauty. Every traveler who visits and enjoys the Kurinji landscape should ensure that he himself will not destroy the plant, that he will not pluck the flowers. It is the responsibility of every traveler to preserve this unique happening which occurs just once in twelve years. Kurinji is our pride. 

One of the interesting features is that once the kurinji blooms the entire landscape will be covered by bees. Every living creature needs to have a feast at least once in their lifetime!. So for bees this is their party time. They are going to feed on millions of flowers.
